250 MWWestern GhatsComplex terrain

Complex-terrain WRA rebuilt for lender review

Problem: a linear-flow-only case underrepresented ridge acceleration, spatial uncertainty, and turbine-level exposure.

Inputs and tools: 24 months of mast data, ERA5/MERRA-2 MCP, WindPRO with WAsP-CFD screening, IEC 61400 site suitability checks.

Deliverables: WTG-wise wind climate, P50/P75/P90 net AEP, uncertainty budget, model-choice memo, and lender defense call.

Commercial result: the lender review moved from methodology challenge to targeted comments on 11 higher-turbulence WTG positions.
500+ MWPortfolioAcquisition DD

Portfolio EYA review before bid submission

Problem: the acquirer needed to know whether four project EYAs used consistent MCP windows, wake assumptions, and degradation treatment.

Inputs and tools: seller reports, turbine layouts, SCADA summary, loss build-up sheets, WAsP/WindPRO extracts, and financial-model resource inputs.

Deliverables: delta bridge versus seller P50, risk-ranked findings, revised P90 range, and bid committee memo.

Commercial result: wake and curtailment risk were priced before exclusivity, avoiding a late-stage valuation reset.
150 MWGujarat / TNCluster wake

Cluster wake reassessment for layout lock

Problem: the base model treated the project as isolated even though neighbouring operational turbines affected the dominant monsoon sectors.

Inputs and tools: turbine coordinates, operating-neighbour map, WAsP flow climate, Jensen/Larsen wake sensitivity, and terrain/access constraints.

Deliverables: before/after wake matrix, constrained relocation list, WTG-wise AEP delta, and layout recommendation.

Commercial result: the layout decision changed before EPC freeze, reducing modeled wake loss by 1.3-1.8 percentage points.
OperationalSCADARefinancing

SCADA reconciliation for refinancing case

Problem: year-one production sat below pre-construction P50 and the refinancing model needed an independent forward view.

Inputs and tools: 10-minute SCADA, availability logs, curtailment records, met mast reference, OEM event logs, and prior EYA assumptions.

Deliverables: operational P50 reset, loss attribution bridge, availability guarantee review, and lender-facing reconciliation memo.

Commercial result: the refinancing discussion moved from unexplained underperformance to bankable causes and corrected future assumptions.

What the buyer learns from the case study page

  • The practice handles utility-scale, portfolio, complex-terrain, and operational-review cases.
  • Each case connects data inputs to tools, deliverables, and commercial decisions.
  • Wake, MCP, SCADA, uncertainty, and IEC suitability are treated as finance risks, not report appendices.
  • Redacted summaries, sample tables, and NDA-backed references can be shared during scoping.
